Install a TSP 100 - Star Printer

Because the Security of Windows Vista has been reinforced, compared to Windows 2000 and XP, there are some different points in operation. Follow the instructions below on how to install the TSP100 software for Windows.

NOTE:  This demo was installed in the Windows Vista operating system environment. The actual screen images seen during installation may be different from the screen shots.

NOTE:  If the installation CD is not available, download the driver from "http://spos.securenet.com/". Save the TSP100 future PRNT Disc Vol. 4.0 CD Package zip file (tsp100iiu_v4_0_0.zip) to the computer.

STEP 1:  Insert TSP100 CD into PC.

STEP 2:  An Auto Play window will appear, select "Run Autorun.exe".

NOTE:  Click the "Allow" button if the User Account Control window opens.

STEP 3:  The application will initialize, click the "Install Now" button.

STEP 4:  Click the "I Accept" button.

STEP 5:  Click the "Win XP and 2K" button.

NOTE:  The screen should show "Preparing to install...".

STEP 6:  On the InstallShield Wizard window, click the "Next" button.

STEP 7:  Enter "Username" and "Organization" data fields and click the "Next" button.

NOTE:  The wizard is defaulted to "Anyone who uses this computer (all users)".  If you are the only user and want to be the only person to be able to access SecurePOS™, please select "Only for me (User 1)" and click the "Next" button.

STEP 8:  Verify the Setup Type is defaulted to "Typical" and click the "Next" button.

STEP 9:  The Program is now ready to be installed, click the "Install" button.

STEP 10:  The Installing TSP100 Setup Version 4.0.0 window will open.

STEP 11:  Click "Install this driver anyway" if the Windows Security window opens.

STEP 12:  When the InstallShield Wizard Completed window opens, click the "Finish" button.

After the installation has been completed, plug the device in. To verify the printer is installed in SecurePOS™, go to Enable a Specific Printer.
